PACA Rules, Regulations and Code of Conduct Policy
Introduction:
The Prince Albert Cricket Association is committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for all members, players, coaches, officials, and spectators. These rules and regulations including the Code of Conduct, outlines the expected standards of behaviour to ensure fair play and integrity in the sport.
General Conduct:
All members while on the field, at all times are expected to:
- Show respect to teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, and spectators.
- Uphold the values of fair play, sportsmanship, and integrity.
- Abide by the laws and spirit of cricket.
- Avoid abusive, offensive, or discriminatory language and behaviour.
- Comply with all associationโs policies and guidelines.
Player Responsibilities
Players must:
- Always play within the rules and respect match officials’ decisions.
- Maintain self-control and refrain from aggressive behaviour.
- Respect opponents and shake hands at the end of matches as a sign of sportsmanship.
- Maintain discipline on and off the field.
- Refrain from using banned substances or engaging in any form of doping.
- Refrain from smoking. Smoking is banned on the field and in the Red wing school premises, this include the parking lot.
- Ensure PACA equipment and facilities are used with care.
Additionally, Player should try to attend PACA meeting to provide the input necessary for the betterment of the cricket in Prince Albert.
Coach & Team/Club Official Responsibilities:
Coaches and team officials should:
- Lead by example and promote good sportsmanship and respect.
- Encourage player development in a safe and positive environment.
- Ensure equal opportunities for all players, regardless of ability or background.
- Provide constructive feedback and discourage unsporting behaviour.
- Refrain from any form of harassment, abuse, or intimidation.
Parental & Spectator Responsibilities:
Parents and spectators should:
- Support players positively and encourage fair play.
- Respect the decisions of match officials and coaches.
- Avoid shouting, abusive language, or unsporting behaviour.
- Set a good example for young players by promoting respect and good conduct.
Disciplinary Action:
- Violations of this Code of Conduct will be taken seriously and may result in:
- Verbal or written warnings.
- Temporary or permanent suspension from the Prince Albert Cricket Association and/or Saskatchewan Cricket Association.
- Fines or other penalties as deemed appropriate by the SCAโs resolution committee.
- Reporting serious breaches to relevant cricketing authorities.
Reporting Concerns:
Anyone witnessing a breach of the Code of Conduct should report it to the Club Committee or a designated officer. All reports will be handled with confidentiality and fairness.
Agreement:
All members, players, coaches, officials, and spectators are required to adhere to this Code of Conduct. By joining Prince Albert Cricket Association, individuals acknowledge and accept these expectations.
